I enjoy the rigor of a daily art practice.
Much of my artistic output is created through the practice of making daily paintings. While I can't always paint on a sustained schedule that a long-term daily painting practice requires, I can easily make a drawing.

Speaking of the Northwest Flower and Garden Show, it is NEXT WEEK! Egads! What did I get myself into? Everything is still sinking in. It is all a bit surreal. Where is the panic button? In just a few short weeks, I will be participating in the Northwest Flower and Garden show, February 17-21, at the Washington Convention and Trade Center.
I made a short 41-second video featuring a few of my new paintings I am preparing for the show. I really enjoy making these little videos. I like setting the images to music as a way to express myself through my art.

I notice as I begin my first blog post of 2016 that I am remembering the pressure to produce a daily painting. Then, I relax and say to myself "this isn't the daily painting. I don't have to finish anything before the dawn of the next day. All I have to do is to write and to share a little of what is going on in my world."
